Advertising and Sponsored Content Policy

Advertising and sponsored content policy

Last updated: November 1, 2026

This advertising and sponsored content policy (“Policy”) establishes requirements for advertisements, boosted posts, sponsored placements, creator endorsements, affiliate promotions, and other commercial content on protreon.com and related Protreon services (“Services”).

The Services are operated by Protreon Inc. (“Protreon”, “we”, “us” or “our”). This Policy supplements our Terms and Conditions, Community Guidelines, and applicable purchase terms.

Advertising features are available only where enabled. Permission to publish an ordinary post does not automatically make that content eligible for paid promotion.

Advertiser responsibilities

Advertisers, creators, agencies, and others publishing promotional content must comply with applicable law and platform policies.

You must have authority to represent the advertised business and promote the relevant products or services. Provide accurate account, business, billing, and verification information when required.

You are responsible for the advertisement, its targeting, its destination, and the offer it communicates. Using an agency, affiliate, or automated content tool does not remove that responsibility.

Do not suggest that Protreon endorses or guarantees an advertiser merely because an advertisement appears on the Services.

Truthful advertising and claims

Advertisements must be accurate and must not mislead through statements, omissions, imagery, pricing, or presentation.

You must:

  • Have appropriate support for objective claims before publishing them.
  • Clearly disclose material prices, fees, conditions, and limitations.
  • Accurately describe availability, qualifications, and expected results.
  • Explain recurring charges and trial conversions before purchase.
  • Use genuine offers rather than fabricated scarcity or false countdowns.

Disclaimers do not correct an otherwise misleading overall message. Do not promise guaranteed earnings, cures, investment returns, or other results without a lawful and adequately supported basis.

Sponsorship and affiliate disclosures

Clearly disclose a material relationship that could affect how people evaluate an endorsement, where the relationship would not otherwise be apparent.

Relevant relationships may include payment, free products, discounts, affiliate commissions, employment, ownership, or a personal relationship with the business.

Use plain language such as “Advertisement”, “Sponsored by [Brand]”, or “I earn a commission from purchases through this link”, as appropriate.

Place the disclosure where people will notice it when encountering the promotional message. Do not hide it in a profile, behind a “more” button, among unrelated hashtags, or only on a separate page.

For video and audio promotions, include disclosures in the content in a form the audience can readily perceive. Repeat disclosures during livestreams where necessary for people joining later.

Use available sponsorship labels where appropriate, but add further disclosure if the label does not adequately explain the relationship.

Reviews and testimonials

Endorsements must reflect genuine opinions or experiences and must not communicate claims that the advertiser could not lawfully make directly.

Do not:

  • Create or purchase fake reviews or fabricated customer experiences.
  • Present an AI-generated person as a real customer with an invented experience.
  • Condition review incentives on a positive or negative opinion.
  • Misrepresent an employee, owner, or paid promoter as an independent customer.
  • Use fake followers, views, or other deceptive indicators of influence.
  • Use threats or deceptive practices to suppress legitimate criticism.

Where an honest review is incentivized, disclose the incentive and follow the rules of the review service. A disclosure does not make a fabricated review acceptable.

Prohibited advertising

We prohibit advertisements promoting or containing:

  • Illegal goods, unlawful services, trafficking, or criminal activity.
  • Child exploitation, grooming, or sexualized depictions of minors.
  • Pornography, explicit sexual activity, sexual services, or nonconsensual intimate imagery.
  • Threats, hate, violent extremist recruitment, or encouragement of serious harm.
  • Fraud, phishing, malware, stolen credentials, or deceptive financial schemes.
  • Counterfeit goods, stolen products, or infringing content.
  • Sales or transfers of firearms, ammunition, explosives, or weapon components.
  • Deceptive impersonation, fabricated endorsements, or misleading deepfakes.
  • Tools or services primarily intended to enable unauthorized surveillance, account compromise, or platform manipulation.

Do not use an external destination, redirect, or private message to complete an offer prohibited on Protreon.

Restricted advertising categories

Certain categories require additional review because of legal, licensing, or safety concerns. These include financial services, cryptocurrency, healthcare products, medicines, alcohol, gambling, dating services, political advertising, and fundraising.

Do not purchase paid placement for these categories unless Protreon has expressly approved the category and any required conditions have been satisfied. Approval is not a representation that an offer is lawful in every location.

We may require licensing information, geographic restrictions, age restrictions, substantiation, or additional disclosures. We may decline categories we cannot adequately support.

Advertisements for housing, employment, credit, and other regulated opportunities must not unlawfully discriminate or evade applicable eligibility and disclosure requirements.

Ad creative and destination pages

Ad text, imagery, and destination pages must consistently describe the same offer.

Destinations must function properly and must not:

  • Install software or initiate downloads without appropriate permission.
  • Use deceptive redirects or conceal the actual offer from reviewers.
  • Impersonate system warnings, account notices, or another business.
  • Collect credentials or sensitive information through deceptive forms.
  • Hide material purchase terms or make cancellation unlawfully difficult.

Do not materially change an approved destination to introduce prohibited content. We may review advertisements and destinations again after approval.

Targeting and privacy

Use only targeting tools and data that you are authorized to use. Comply with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and applicable privacy requirements.

Do not target people using unlawfully obtained information or use sensitive characteristics in a discriminatory, exploitative, or otherwise prohibited manner.

If Protreon offers audience uploads, pixels, or conversion tools, use them only after completing any required additional agreement and obtaining the necessary permissions.

Do not transmit passwords, payment credentials, health records, or other prohibited sensitive information through advertising URLs, tracking parameters, or measurement tools.

Advertisers must not attempt to reverse-engineer reports to identify individual users or combine information in ways prohibited by the applicable agreement.

Advertising involving minors

Do not promote age-restricted products to minors or exploit young people’s inexperience, insecurities, or trust.

Do not pressure a minor to make an unauthorized purchase, conceal a charge, or provide unnecessary personal information.

Content featuring children must comply with applicable consent, privacy, and child-protection requirements. Sexualization or exploitation of minors is prohibited.

Applicable restrictions on profiling, targeted advertising, and personal information involving minors must be respected. Platform settings do not excuse unlawful targeting.

Intellectual property and likeness rights

Obtain the rights needed to use music, photographs, footage, trademarks, testimonials, and other protected material in advertising.

Permission to publish content organically does not necessarily authorize paid promotion.

Do not imply a person’s endorsement without authorization. Synthetic voices, altered photographs, and generated likenesses are subject to the same prohibition on deceptive endorsements.

Billing, delivery, and performance

Before purchase, the applicable offer must explain pricing, billing method, campaign duration, placement, budget, and any material delivery conditions.

Billing may be based on a disclosed placement period, impressions, clicks, or another stated measure. Do not assume a billing model or performance guarantee that the offer does not provide.

We do not guarantee sales, leads, followers, revenue, or other business outcomes unless expressly promised in writing.

Estimated reach and performance forecasts are estimates. Actual results may differ because of audience availability, competition, campaign settings, and other factors.

Campaign cancellation and refunds follow the applicable purchase terms and No Refund Policy, subject to law. Properly delivered advertising is generally non-refundable. Rejected or undelivered advertising will be reviewed for any required refund or adjustment.

Report suspected billing errors or invalid activity promptly with relevant campaign and transaction details. Any correction will reflect the applicable purchase terms and evidence.

Review and enforcement

We may request verification or supporting evidence, reject advertisements, stop campaigns, remove promotional content, or restrict advertising access.

Prior approval does not guarantee continued eligibility. We may act if new information reveals a violation or the advertisement or destination changes.

Do not evade review by changing accounts, disguising destinations, or repeatedly submitting substantially identical prohibited advertisements.

Enforcement does not eliminate mandatory refund rights or authorize undisclosed penalties.

Reporting and appeals

Report a misleading or prohibited advertisement through available reporting controls, our contact form, or contact@protreon.com.

Include the advertiser name, content link or campaign identifier, and a description of the concern. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive information.

Advertisers may request review of a decision by providing the decision reference, an explanation, and relevant supporting evidence. Appeals are handled under our Reporting, Moderation, and Appeals Policy.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as advertising features, platform standards, or legal requirements change. We will revise the date and provide additional notice where required.

Changes do not retroactively remove rights associated with completed purchases. Campaign changes and discontinued placements will be handled according to applicable purchase terms and law.
